Thursday the 27th of March!!!

Another busy and funfilled day at Do Be Ltd. I would just like to say a big thank you to Wallace Hall Academy especially Sharon McLean. After completing their staff and pupil training with the DoBe MP4's a couple weeks ago they are really flying the flag for Dumfries and Galloway. They have really grasped the project with both hands and are embedding enterprise and the use of our technolgy in their everyday learning and teaching. Keep the amazing work up!!!

The Voice

I'm currently sitting in Inveraray (my session over) with a (quite diverse) group of 5th/6th years from each of the (well spaced out) schools in the region. The idea is to help them to create a 'Voice' which, contrary to past experience will be listened to. Not only by teachers but by members of the council including the Director of Education for Argyll and Bute (to be at the next meeting). Students have been asked to use our Learn-It's to collect information across the whole school on issues t… Continue

Why are kids born knowing how to work digital things?

I am astounded every day by how quickly and easily Jacob and Finn use technology. It's in their nature, it comes natural to them and they are not afraid in any way shape or form of technology. If I need to find out how to work the sky box, the Xbox or any remote control in the house I just ask the boys. Jacob and Finn are my 'guinea pigs' I test things on them and I genuinely believe that we can engage our kids via technology and give them some really important messages that can help them make t… Continue
